Canada travel plan for or a tourist visa – west coast

Here is a sample 7-10 day travel itinerary for the west coast of Canada:

  • Day 1-2: Vancouver – Explore the city, visit Stanley Park, Granville Island, Gastown, Robson Street shopping. Take a day trip to Whistler or Vancouver Island.
  • Day 3: Head to Vancouver Island – Stop in Victoria, the charming capital city. Visit Butchart Gardens, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Craigdarroch Castle. Spend a night in Victoria or elsewhere on the island.
  • Day 4: Vancouver Island – Go whale watching or kayaking. Stop by Cathedral Grove to see the giant Douglas fir trees. Head to Tofino and Ucluelet, popular surfing destinations with beautiful beaches and hiking trails.
  • Day 5: Head to the Okanagan Valley – Stop in Kelowna and sample local wines at the vineyards and wineries. Relax on the lakeshore or get out on the water.
  • Day 6: Continue through the Okanagan to Banff – Stop at blue-green Moraine Lake in the Canadian Rockies. Spend a couple nights exploring Banff National Park, hiking and enjoying the mountain scenery.
  • Day 7-8: Banff to Calgary – Stop at scenic Lake Louise on the way back. Spend a day in Calgary exploring the downtown, Stampede Park, and Calgary Tower.
  • Day 9: Depart Calgary – Head to the airport for your flight home.
