🏠 Welcome back, old friend
Bed Bath & Beyond is back in Canada. Since September 29, 2026, you can shop it online at bedbathandbeyond.ca. Here is everything to know before you fill your cart.

🏬 Stores: late 2027
Remember wandering the aisles with a cart full of towels, a spiralizer you didn’t need, and that famous blue coupon? Bed Bath & Beyond closed its 54 Canadian stores in 2023. Three years later the name is back, under new Canadian ownership, starting online first.
This isn’t the same company as before, and it isn’t the U.S. website either. So the shipping rules, discounts and return policy are all new. Here is the practical stuff.
📋 Your cheat sheet
🚚 Shipping: aim for $100
The magic number is $100 before taxes. Spend that and standard shipping is free. Below it, you pay a flat $14.95.
A few things to know:
- Big items cost more. Anything marked “oversized” adds $139, even if your order is over $100. Furniture is limited for now partly because of this.
- Plan about a week and a half. Orders ship within two business days, then most arrive within seven business days. Rural and remote areas can take longer.
- Living up north? Oversized items can’t be delivered to Yukon, the Northwest Territories or Nunavut.
📌 Sticky note: the site says free shipping applies to orders over $100 before taxes. If your 15% welcome code drops your total below $100, check your cart before paying, because shipping might come back.
🎁 How to get 15% off your first order
- Go to bedbathandbeyond.ca and find the sign-up box (“Enjoy 15% off your first order”).
- Enter your email address.
- Use the code at checkout on your first order.
That’s the only official launch offer we could confirm on the site. You’ll see coupon websites advertising “20% off Bed Bath & Beyond Canada.” Be careful: many of those codes are left over from the old Canadian company or belong to the U.S. site, and won’t work on the new .ca store.
↩ Returns: read this before you buy
This is the part that surprises people. Returns are allowed, but they aren’t free. The return shipping fee is taken out of your refund:
The rest of the policy, in plain words:
- 30 days from delivery for most items. Seasonal items have their own return-by dates.
- Holiday bonus: buy between November 1 and December 24, and you can return until January 15. This doesn’t apply to seasonal items.
- Clearance is final sale.
- Items must be unused, unassembled and in the original packaging. Used or assembled items may only get a partial refund, or none.
- Arrived damaged or wrong? Contact them within 48 hours with photos. No fee in that case.
- Your original shipping fee isn’t refunded. Refunds go back to your card within about 5 business days after they inspect the return.
- Mattresses: unopened ones can be returned within 30 days. Opened ones can be exchanged once within 100 days, but not refunded.
- Start every return in the online return portal first. Boxes sent back without one may be delayed or refused.
💡 Smart shopping tips
✅ Bundle your basics. Towels, sheets and kitchen tools add up fast. One $100+ order beats three small ones with $14.95 shipping each.
✅ Save the 15% for a bigger haul. It only works once, so use it on your largest order, like a full bedding refresh.
✅ Measure twice. With a return fee of $14.95 or more, getting the size right the first time saves real money. Check sheet depth, towel dimensions and rug sizes.
✅ Do holiday shopping in November. Gifts bought from November 1 can be returned until January 15.
✅ Think twice about clearance and oversized items. Clearance can’t be returned, and oversized items cost $139 each way.
🛏 What’s on the shelves
The new store focuses on eight categories: bed, bath, kitchen, dining, décor, organization, baby and seasonal, with the deepest selection in bedding and bath.
Brands mentioned in launch coverage include KitchenAid, Smeg, Umbra, Calvin Klein and Lacoste. Because Sleep Country Canada now runs the business, you’ll also find its sister brands Endy, Bloom, Simba and Silk & Snow. The company also says it carries pieces from Canadian artisans.
Don’t expect the old superstore range just yet. Furniture is limited for now, and the baby section is smaller, focused on getting your home ready rather than on everything for babies.
🇨🇦 vs 🇺🇸 Canadian site or U.S. site?
They share a name and a logo, but they are separate businesses. Sleep Country Canada bought the Canadian and U.K. rights to the Bed Bath & Beyond name from Overstock.com. The U.S. site is run by a different company.
Bottom line: shop the .ca site for Canadian prices and Canadian returns. If you buy from a U.S. store instead, you deal with U.S. dollars, possible cross-border fees, and returns across the border.
📌 Old gift card in a drawer? Cards and coupons from the Bed Bath & Beyond that closed in 2023 came from the old company. The new business hasn’t said whether it will accept them, so ask Customer Care before you count on it.
🏬 When are stores coming back?
The plan is late 2027 for the first physical locations. The company hasn’t announced cities or addresses yet. President Carol Deacon told reporters the stores will be smaller than the old ones, and the store plan is still being worked out.
Until then, it’s an online store with a familiar name and some new rules. Hit $100, use your 15% wisely, measure before you click “buy,” and your first order should go smoothly. Happy nesting! 🏡
